STONESFIELD
LAUGHTON HILL (North-west side)
1722 Clockcase
II
House. Dated 1722, enlarged in the late C18. Roughly squared and coursed limestone with coursed limestone rubble addition. Stone slate roof. Two storeys and attic. Integral brick end stacks rebuilt in C20. Two gabled dormers with two-light wooden casements. Two-window front, two-light leaded metal casements in wooden frames and flat stone arches. Central C20 glazed door with flat stone arch and C20 gabled stone porch with four-panelled door. Segmental-headed panelled datestone above porch: "TH/AH/1722". Later addition to left, slightly breaking forward; gabled eaves dormer with two-light small-paned wooden casement, first-floor two-light small-paned wooden casement with wooden lintel and pair of C20 ground floor windows with continuous wooden lintel.
