15/127 Corner Cottage
- II
Cottage. Early C18 with late C18 addition. Coursed limestone rubble with stone
slate roofs. Two-unit baffle-entry plan with slightly taller one-unit addition
to right. Two storeys. Stone ridge stack off-centre to left and integral brick:
end stack to right. Three-window front; C19 and C20 two- and 3-light wooden and
metal casements with wooden lintels. Glazed door between first and second
windows off-centre to left with C20 gabled porch. C20 lean-to addition to left.
Interior partially inspected: left-hand ground-floor open fireplace with
chamfered lintel. The occupant (March 1987) reports circular stone cellar
stairs.
