GV II

House, latterly inn. C17. Coursed limestone rubble with stone slate roof. L-plan. Two storeys and gable-lit attic with 2-storey rear wing. External stone lateral stack to rear with offsets and C20 brick top, external stone end stack to the front of the right-hand cross-wing with C20 brick top and internal stone end stack to rear. First-floor 4-light wooden casement, ground-floor C20 three-light wooden casement to left and ground-floor C20 2-light lintels (C20 to right-hand ground-floor window). The right-hand ground-floor window was probably formerly a doorway (see straight joints beneath). Left-hand gable end has C20 two-light wooden casements to first floor and attic and C20 three-light ground-floor wooden casement, all with wooden lintels. C20 half-glazed 2-light wooden casement in gable end to front and 2-light wooden casements to side. Interior: right-hand ground-floor room has deep-chamfered ceiling beam with stepped stop. Left-hand ground-floor room has pair of chamfered ceiling beams with ogee stops and open fireplace to rear with a chamfered wooden lintel.
