GV II

House. C17; remodelled and extended to sides in early C19. Originally timber-framed on limestone rubble plinth; 4 panels of framing remain in rear right wall; rest of early C19 colourwashed English garden wall bond brick walling. Gabled thatch roof; end, now ridge, stack of stone finished in brick. 2-unit plan, extended to 4 units. One storey and attic; 2-window range. Timber lintel over central C20 door: glazed C20 porch. Timber lintels over early C19 two-light casements with plank shutters; 2-light dormer casements, Early/mid C19 brick bays to sides, under same roof. Interior: room to left has stop-chamfered beam and similar bressumer over open fireplace; C16 reset moulded beam in right room: first floor has early C19 plank doors and butt-purlin roof. Included for group value.
