BURFORD AND UPTON CHURCH LANE AND SIGNET SP2512 (Enlargement) John Huntt Chest-tomb 7/26 about 4m SE of porch of porch of Church of St John. GV II

Chest tomb. Erected 1609. Cyma moulded plinth and cornice to heavy ledger. Brass set in west end, depicts a diminutive John Huntt with inscription: "I know that my redeemer/Lyveth and that I shall rise again at the later day/here lyeth the bodye/of John Huntt of Burford/Mercer who deceased the/15 day of March in the/year of Our Lord 1603/William Huntt and Richard Huntt sons of the sayde John Huntt/made this 1609."
