GV II
Shown on O.S. map as Fifield House Farmhouse. Farmhouse, now house. Early C18
with later additions and alterations. Limestone ashlar to front, regularly
coursed and dressed rubble to rear; stone slate roof with coped verges. 2
storeys and attic. 3-window front; 2-light chamfered mullion windows to first
floor and 3-light mullions to ground floor all with leaded lights. Central
half-glazed door in plain surround. 2 early C20 gabled dormers in roof slope.
Integral end stacks with moulded dripstones and capping. 2-light chamfered
mullion windows on first floor to left gable end and rear low gabled range with
leaded eaves dormer attached to right. Interior. Ground floor only inspected at
time of resurvey (August 1987). Chamfered cross beam and exposed joists to right
room.
