SWINBROOK AND WIDFORD SWINBROOK SP2712, SP2812 13/131 14/131 Group of 8 chest tombs approx. 1-3m S and E of chancel of Church of St. Mary GV II

Group of 8 chest tombs. 4 probably mid or late C17. Stone. Rectangular. Panelled sides with some decorative carved panels. Cornice moulded top slabs with bale tops, one with Salomonic spiral moulding. 2 probably late C17. Stone. Rectangular. Plain with panelled ends. One probably early C18. Stone. Rectangular. Inscribed panel to north side with scrolls to left and right. Panelled ends and moulded flat slab to top. One probably mid C18. Stone. Rectangular. Panelled sides and ends. Moulded edge to top slab.
