Details
SP2604-2704 ALVESCOT LOWER END (South-west side) 9/8 Stable 30m W of Park Farmhouse 12/09/55 (Formerly listed as Barn and farm buildings at Park House)
GV II Former stable, now of more general use, with loft over. Probably C18 but incorporates C17 features. Coursed rubble limestone with stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Left bay has ground floor window opening re-using one jamb of a C17 chamfered stone window. Right bay has ground floor window with frame and 2 mullions of a C17 6-light wooden window with ovolo mouldings. Above is a C17 3-light window with chamfered stone mullions. Doorway with wooden lintel to right of centre; old board loft door to left of centre. Left gable end has long wooden lintel over altered ground floor openings, and 4-light window above with chamfered wooden mullions, 2 lights with central diamond mullions. Later door and loft door in right gable end. Blind rear wall.
