2. An excellent timber-framed gabled house in walled garden opposite church. The front has been roughcast in C18 and sash windows inserted. Continuous slight 1st floor and attic overhangs; moulded bressumers; 2 storeys plus attic. The 5 closely spaced windows have rusticated pargetting surrounds and wide painted wood frames. Sashes in facsimile now replace former Ionic pedimented porch at centre. 3 attic gables, the centre one being smaller and having a round C19 window; plain wood casements to left and right; old ridge tile roof terminated to right in splayed corner bay. End projecting stone chimneys with tall coupled brick stacks set diagonally. The main part of the house which includes a parellel wing at rear, which is possibly earlier, is square on plan but at the side and back are long timber-framed two-storeyed office wings.
