BOUGHTON CHURCH STREET SP7565 (North side) 22/34 Gatepier to Boughton Hall, approx 25 metres west of The Old Griffin.

Gatepier. Early C18. Ashlar. Panelled sides surmounted by lead heralidic animal. Restored to present position in 1972. Originally at Boughton but present position not necessarily original. One of a pair with south gatepier. (The Buildings of England : Northamptonshire 1973, p.110).
