6/169 L-shaped range of - outbuildings along north and east sides of courtyard at Aston Hall GV II

Coach house and former stables. Mainly mid-C19 but incorporating parts of an earlier range of outbuildings, late C19 alterations. Yellowish brown brick with red brick to C18 part, yellow brick to late C19 re-building at south end of east range, slate roof. L-plan. 2 storeys, toothed eaves cornice; mid-C19 segmental-headed casements throughout with wide elliptical double doors to centre of north range; vehicle entrance in angle with east range which has C20 double doors at its south end; 2 yellow brick ridge stacks to east range and reconstructed bell lantern to north range. Semi-ruinous C18 red brick outbuilding attached to west end of north range. Interior: east range has C19 stable and loose boxes with iron railings and hay racks. Low lath C19/early C20 range attached at right- angles to east end of north range is not of special architectural interest. Included for group value.
