Disused cottage approx. 50m north of the Pentre Farmhouse

Cottage, latterly cowhouse, now disused. Mid- to late C18 with later
repairs and alterations. Roughly coursed limestone blocks with mid-C19
purplish brown brick patching, graded slate roof (corrugated iron to
rear). 2-cell plan. One storey and attic; C20 stable doors to left and
blocked doorway to centre flanked by C20 openings, raking eaves dormers
to left and right; prominent external stepped end stack to left with
top re-built in brick. Interior: stone cross-wall and chamfered spine
beams with run-out stops to ground floor; fireplace blocked and C20
cowstalls inserted. Double-purlin roof. Included for group value.
