6/89 Barn approximately - 50 metres to north-east of Plowden Hall (formerly 21/3/68 listed as Barn to north- east of Plowden Hall)
GV II Barn. Late C17 with C18 and mid to late C19 additions. Weatherboarded timber frame on coursed limestone rubble plinth, coursed limestone rubble additions at ends with red brick dressings, and slate and corrugated iron roof. Framing: square panels. 11 framed bays with strey in fourth bay from west. One storey with lofts to east and west. South front: 2 loft doors to left and loft door to right; ground floor, left to right: 2-light casement, 2 leaf boarded door, boarded window, boarded door, cart entrance and segmental headed boarded door to far right. North front: left to right: two C20 casements, boarded door, C20 casement, boarded door, 2 pitching holes and cart entrance; loft door in gable end to east. Interior: double purlin roof; inclined strut and queen strut trusses; square panelled framed partition wall between seventh and eighth bays from west with probably C17 red brick nogging. q.v. Plowden Hall.
