6/91 Former Cockpit and link to Red House 21/3/68 Farmhouse (formerly listed as Old Cockpit Building, to north of The Red House)
GV II
Cockpit, now cowhouse. Mid to late C17 with some later rebuilding. Coursed and uncoursed limestone rubble, red brick (various bonds), and pyramidal shingled roof. Octagonal plan with short linking block to Red House Farmhouse (q.v.). One storey. Boarded loft doors to north and north-west, 2 leaf boarded door to north; various blocked openings. Linking block of red brick and rubblestone with slate roof; first floor boarded door to right and 2 ground floor boarded doors to left. Interior: 2 large beams; cross beam ceiling.
