Farmhouse, now house. Early C17 with later additions and alterations,
extended late C20. Timber-framed with painted brick infill on rendered
uncoursed limestone rubble plinth; graded slate roof. 2-cell plan
with integral lateral stack to centre at rear. Two storeys and gable-
lit attic. Framing: square panels, two from high cill to wall plate.
Gable ends have cambered tie beams with a vertical strut to collar and
raking struts to principal rafters; projecting single-purlin ends.
South gable end also has long straight tension braces from tie beam
to cill. East side (rear) has C19 casement directly below eaves to
left of stack and C20 casement on ground floor to left. C20 gabled
porch to right over C17 plank door. C19 cast-iron casements directly
below eaves on road side and also to north gable end. C20 two-storey
gabled brick extension to south with contemporary flat-roofed addition
behind is not of special architectural interest.
