Details

PARISH OF ROWSLEY SCHOOL LANE SK 26 NE 5/182 12.7.67 Wye Bridge House II House. Probably mostly early C19, restored C20. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. Stone slate roof with coped gables and moulded kneelers. Two ashlar ridge stacks and a gable stack. Two storeys. West elevation of five irregular bays, the third and fourth bays from the west, beneath a gable. The fenestration is recessed and chamfered mullioned windows with gothic leaded lights. Off-centre doorway with ashlar surround and bracketed stone hood. Studded plank door behind C20 glazed doors. To the right a 2-light window and to the left a 3-light window. To the left again a doorway with ashlar surround and a pair of C20 glazed doors. To the left again a 4-light window. The first floor has from the left, a 2-light and a 3-light, two 2-lights and a 3-light window. In the gable a recessed square panel with a sundial.
