Green Hall Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. Mid C17 with C20 alterations and additions. Coursed
coal measures sandstone with quoins, plain gables, gable brick
stacks and one side wall ashlar stack. Plain slated roof.
L-plan house, with added pantiled range to the rear of the
south-east wing. South-east elevation. Two storeys and attics,
two bays, with central doorway with plain surround, massive
lintel, and C20 glazed door. Flanking the doorway are 2-light
casements with glazing bars beneath painted lintels, the first
and attic floors have recessed chamfer mullioned windows, and 3
and 4-light windows to the first floor, each with a dripmould,
the upper floor with a 2-light and a 3-light mullioned window,
now blocked. South-east gable with bulls-eye windows in square
surrounds with crosses in relief. North-east gable with a
3-light and a 2-light mullioned window, the latter blocked.
