BEDSTONE C.P. BEDSTONE SO 37 NE No 4 (formerly listed 8/4 as No 4 (Bedstone 21.3.68 House Lodge) - II

Cottage. Mid-C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber framed, rendered to front on rubblestone plinth; machine tile roof. One storey and attic; 3 framed bays. C20 fenestration to front; early C20 French window to right and entrance through late C20 Gothic-style French window in slight projection to left. Three C20 gabled eaves dormers. Internal brown brick end stack to left and external rubblestone end stack with brown brick shaft to right. Framing: exposed to back wall; square panels, 3 from cill to wall-plate. Late C.19 gabled open timber porch to right of centre over 4-panel door (top panels now glazed). Lower, probably C18, rubblestone addition to left (timber framed directly below eaves to rear) with single-storey rubblestone range projecting at right- angles to front. Interior. Not inspected but likely to be of interest.
