House. Mid- to late C18 re-modelling of earlier building. Red brick
with timber framed left gable end and gable to rear, plain tile roof.
Hall and cross-wing with latter to rear of present house, C18 front.
2 storeys and gable-lit attic, dentilled eaves cornice; framing:
square panels exposed to left gable end but cross-wing now weather-
boarded; segmental-headed 3-light casements to left and right of
central entrance (windows to left late C19 and those to right C20
metal); C20 half-glazed door under late C19 gabled brown brick porch.
Prominent red brick external end stack to left with twin rebated
shafts of star section (probably C17) and plain C19 shaft abutting,
C18 external end stack to right. Late C19 and C20 additions to rear.
Interior: not inspected but noted as having chamfered ceiling beams
with heavy joists to ground-floor rooms. Included as Home Farm
Cottage (grade III) on provisional list.
