COUND C.P. HARNAGE SJ 50 SE 7/102 Cottage approx. 20 - metres to north of Harnage House GV II

Cottage. Late C17 with late C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Sandstone rubble, partly rebuilt in painted brick; timber framed gable end to south-west with painted brick nogging; plain tile roof. One storey and attic. 2 gabled eaves dormers to north-west with 2-light wooden casements and small C20 dormer to south-east; integral brick end stack to north-east; central weathervane. South-east front: 3 late C19 segmental-headed 2-light wooden casements; door between first and second window from right with 4 flush panels and C20 sandstone rubble and glazed lean-to porch with half-glazed door in left-hand return front; north-west front has small segmental-headed C19 casement to right with blocked small C17 two-light window above; rendered C20 lean-to addition to left. Exposed collar and tie-beam truss in gable end to south-west with the ends of 2 pairs of purlins visible. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest.
