PARISH OF HOLMESFIELD CARTLEDGE LANE SK 37 NW 5/140 (East Side) Outbuildings to the 31.1.67 north-east and east of Cartledge Grange GV II

Farm outbuildings. Late C17, remodelled in mid C19. Coursed squared coal measures sandstone with quoins, plain gables and stone slated roofs. L-shaped range comprising west and south ranges. West range with six doorways, five of which are stable doors, whilst the remaining opening is a double width cart entry. All openings have substantial stone lintels and plain planked doors. The central stone doorway has substantial stone jambs. Three C20 first floor openings with glazing bar windows, the fourth with a boarded shutter. South range with three doorways, one now partially blocked to form a window, the others with boarded doors and stone lintels. Single 2-light flush mullioned window to the south end. South gable with double doors to the ground floor, beneath a stone lintel. 2-light windows to gable apex with pointed arched heads to lights. Listed for group value
