House, now café (at time of listing). Mid-to late C17 with C18 alterations and additions. Timber framed with plastered infill panels, partly rendered, on painted sandstone rubble plinth. Partly refaced or rebuilt in red brick. Plain tile roof. Two or three framed bays at right angles to road. One storey and attic. Truncated brick ridge stack. C20 three-light attic casement and central ground-floor C20 small-paned wooden casement. C20 small-paned glazed door to left with early C19 doorcase consisting of reeded pilaster strips, frieze and cornice. Gabled eaves dormer to right-hand return front with two-light wooden casement. C18 or addition at rear with dentil brick eaves cornice and gabled eaves. Dormer to left-hand return front with two-light wooden casement. Late C20 flat-roofed addition to north-east.

Interior not inspected but pair of chamfered beams noted in ground floor front room.
