8/59 Fives Court wall, about 10 metres north of the Poulett Iris Inn 4.2.58

GV II

Fives court wall. Late C18/early C19. Ham stone ashlar, about 4 metres wide and 7 metres high, with coped pitched top. Also known locally as the 'Pelota Wall', this suggests connections with early C19 French prisoners of war, who are said to have introduced the game into other parts of the county.
