5/2 Unidentified Chest Tomb, 2 metres South of St Barbara's chapel in churchyard, Church of St Lawrence

-

GV II

Chest tomb. Early C17. Probably Doulting stone. Base buried; plain slab sides; heavy flat top with angled under-coving. Panel on South side appears to have incised semi-circular headed panels, with dates at base which could read 1769 and 1791, but those would be much later amendments; all lettering lost.
