Details
COMPTON PAUNCEFOOT CP ST62NE BLACKFORD 5/35 Former Stable. about 3 m west of Old Beams - GV II Stable. Late C18. Local lias stone rubble; hipped Welsh slate roof with stone ridge and hips, ball finial to centre of ridge. Small almost cuboid building with pointed segmental arched doorway on east side, with boarded door. About 2.5 x 3 m, st.ll fitted up as a stable inside: said to have been built by the minister of the nearby Methodist Chapel, now demolished, to accommodate his horse whilst he was conducting services in the chapel.
