Detached farmhouse, now divided. C17 and later. Ham stone cut and squared, ashlar dressings; thatched roof with stepped coped gable to west, plain coped gable to east; brick and stone slab chimney stacks. 'T'-plan; 2 storeys, 5 bays, irregular fenestration. Hollow-chamfered mullioned windows with separate labels, 4-light lower bays 2 to 5, with reconstructed stone window to bay 1; above, 4-light horizontal bar casements; to right of bay 3 an older boarded and studded door in heavy frame; signs that roof has been raised in eaves level stonework, also a blocked doorway between bays 1/2; sundial between upper bays 4/5. Further blocked doorway in west gable; east gable has moulded string between floors and blocked window at lower level. Later lean-to extension to rear against return wing: rear elevation has a small square bay window of later C18 with beaded mullions, also C19 margined windows and French doors. Interior not seen. About 2 metres from front of house the wrot-iron railings on low stone base wall, with alternate Gothic-arched hoops and spearpoints, with urn finials to gateposts opposite the doorway, matching gates, and curved return to south-west corner of house, all adding to the setting of the house.
