6/102 Hext monument in churchyard, about 14 m south of chancel, - Church of St Mary Magdalene

GV II

Chest tomb. Early C19. Ham stone. Moulded plinth; panelled sides with fluted Ionic pilasters, one each end and 2 each flank; no frieze; moulded coving to hipped top with rounded leading edges. Tomb set within an area defined by low stone kerbing. Commemorates Mary, wife of Philip Hext, died 1826, and others of family.
