ASHILL CP ASHILL VILLAGE ST31NW 2/26 Ashton Farmhouse -

GV II

Detached farmhouse. C18, modified. Brickwork, colourwashed, above random stone plinth; Welsh slate roof with plain gables; brick chimney stacks. Two storeys with attics, 5 bays. Casement windows of 3 lights, with rectangular leaded panes, the upper windows set in segmental-arched openings; to lower bay 1 a pair of French doors: bay 3 has a projecting porch and stair wing, the pitched roof having its ridge at general eaves level; on north gable a large semi-circular arched sash window of 15 panes with radially-glazed top and in the east return a studded boarded door in heavy frame. On east gable a a slightly projecting chimney stack, and on either side are small attic windows; there is also an 'England' fire insurance plaque. Interior not seen.
