Details

ST51NW CHILTHORNE DOMER CP MAIN STREET (West sidel 3/61 Front boundary wall and gateway to the Manor House - GV II Boundary wall and gateway. Probably early C19. Ham stone ashlar. Walling has chamfered plinth, and thin angled copings about 1.25 a high; curved sweeps up to pedestrian gateway to east of house, the gateway jamb having ovolo moulding and may represent a re-used doorway: C20 wrot iron gates. The wall forms an important element in the setting to the Manor House (qv) and the streetscene generally.
