Pair of cottages. C17, altered C19 and late C20. No 8: roughcast grooved as ashlar, quoin strips, pantiled roof, concrete tiles at rear, coped verges, brick stacks. Plan: 2 cell and cross passage, outshot at rear. 2 storeys, 4 bays; 2-light casements except for single light end bay right, groundfloor central plank door, gabled porch of bricks set diagonally and painted. At right angles with one bay link, independently thatched roofed roughcast cottage, No 10, large external stepped stack left gable end. 2 storeys, 1:3 bays, all C20 2-light casements, central glazed porch, earlier plank door, left return with attached shelter shed. Interior not viewed.
