2. Circa 1680s. Former Angel and Crown Inn. Remodelled mid-C19. 2½ storeys, rendered and grooved as ashlar. Pantile roof, 1 gabled dormer. 2 windows, cross-glazed sashes. Central 4 panel door with cut brackets to moulded flat hood. 2 storey gabled extension to rear and former public house courtyard buildings. Traces of a ½ storey cottage on left hand return. Interior: Inglenook fireplace formerly with herringbone dated fireback. Winder stair to right with moulded risers and blocked stairlight (with fragments of old glazing). Axial ceiling beam with ogee stops to chamfer. (See also RCHM. Trinity Area).
