2. Late C17. 1½ storeys. 2 gables. Rubble built. Excellent example of local vernacular cottage. The left hand gable has a pair of glazing sashes on 1st floor, the right hand one ditto for ground floor and a blocked 2st floor window. Wooden lintels. Central door with double ogee stopped surround, studied original door. Two gables to rear, 2 light glazing bar sash windows, the left hand gable has an ovolo moulded wood surround. Studdied back door. Interior: through-passage with 3 doors also with stopped ovolo surrounds. Ground floor room to north has very large fireplace and high ovolo moulded chimney piece over; carved stop to axial beam chamfer. Winder stair against stack with incised surround to doorway and large rustic turned balusters to 1st floor landing. 1st floor central doorway has stopped ovolo surround
