The Old Presbytery
II
C17 structure incorporating part of a medieval building. Remodelled with
extensions in mid-C19. Incorporates the manor house of St Catherine's 2½ storeys
rubble. Pantile roof. Irregular to east: C18 gabled projection to left with one
range of windows and a 2 storey annexe to right above mid C19 door. small gable
over dormer and 1 range of casement windows with part of a C15 or C16 moulded
window head set in wall. Uneven gable to right with cross at apex and a paired
lancet below (part of a 2 storey chapel wing, also with paired lancets). Rear:
gable to attic, mid-C19 glazing bar sashes in 3 ranges, chapel wing at right angles
to left. Included for historical interest.
