Well keeper's cottage. c.1864. Red brick; old plain-tile roof; brick stack.
Octagonal plan. Single storey. Plank door to principal face to road with rebuilt
brick porch with lean-to roof. 2-light wood casements to each diagonal face to
front. Octagonal hipped roof. Octagonal stack to centre. Interior not
inspected. Built as keeper's cottage to the Maharajah's Well (q.v.). Paid for by
the Maharajah of Benares at the cost of 74 14s 6d. Reflects the octagonal
design of the well. Included for group value.
