MIDDLE STREET 1. 5365 (South Side) Camelot Club (formerly listed as Octagon gospel Ball) ST 2224 NE 9/18 4.6. 52.

II GV

2. Approached by a narrow entry between Nos 7 and 8 Middle Street. Now converted from former use as Octagon Gospel Hall. John Wesley preached at the owning of the chapel. 1776-1. Octagonal 2 storey brick building with plain tile roof. Eaves with moulded brick dentils. Round-headed windows to lower floor, oeil-de-boeuf windows above. Later entrance porch of machine-made red brick. Interior has gallery with Tuscan supports round 5 sides of the octagon. Panelled gallery fronts with dentil cornice. Large recent extensions to rear are not included.

All the listed buildings on south side of Middle Street form a good group with Nos 15 Canon Street.
