Details
NYNEHEAD CP ST12SW NYNEHEAD VILLAGE 4/71 Hornshav Farmhouse 15,1.56 II Farmhouse. C16 in origin, altered C17, enlarged and altered C18 and C19. Roughcast over rubble, shallow pitch slate roo-, coped verges, brick stack right gable end, to right of cross passage and left gable end at junction with agricultural wing. Plan 3-cell and cross passage enlarged one bay south-east, 2 wings it rear, rebuilt stair turret between, agricultural addition north-west. Two storeys, 2;1;3 bays, 3 and 4-light wooden casements with leading,possibly C18,some removed late C20, third bay left full height gabled porch with 2-light window and small plaster panel in apex of gable, square headed opening, seats on inner walls of flag-stoned porch. C19 ribbed door, end bay right French windows with side lights. C20 fenestration to 2-bay agricultural wing adjoining left. Interior not seen, said to have been much altered in C18 and C19; hall and inner room now with moulded lateral beaM, C20 grate, fielded panels to some doors.(VA6 Report, Unpublished SRO, June l983).
