3/91 Great Wadd Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Early C17, with later C18 and later alterations. Timber framed, with rendered infilling. Left gable end painted brick to ground floor, weatherboarded above. Plain tile roof. Two storeys. Painted brick plinth under raised cill to left. Continuous jetty with roll-moulded bressumer, on shaped bracket to right end, and moulded bracket to right of doors. Close-studded. Principal posts on first floor towards left end, and 2 adjacent to each other to left of stack. Principal post on ground floor to right of stack. Roof gabled, right gable jettied on solid-spandrel brackets. Brick ridge stack towards centre. Projecting C18 red and grey brick stack with tumbled shoulders and filleted flue, to right gable end. Irregular fenestration of 4 casements; one 2-light to left, one 3-light over broad wooden cill to left of stack, and one 2-light and one 3-light to right of stack. Blocked 3-light mullion window to left of stack and blocked 2-light mullion window towards each end on ground floor. Ribbed door under stack. Rear lean-to. Interior not inspected. Formerly known as Wadd Farm.
