GV II

House, formerly cottages, now house. C15 or early C16, with early C17 addition, restored in late C20. Timber framed, with rendered infilling. Plain tile roof. Wealden, with hall of 2 unequal-length bays and storeyed bay to left. Storeyed right end bay re-built in C17. Short early C17 rear wing with smoke bay. 2 storeys on stone plinth. Left end bay jettied, jetty returning on moulded dragon post. Underbuilt jetty to right bay. Exposed broadly-spaced studding to central bays. Arch-braces to flying wall-plate. Hipped roof, with gablet to right. Multiple brick ridge stack to left end of hall and projecting stack to right gable end. Irregular fenestration of 4 leaded casements; one 3-light to each end bay and 2 shallow C20 oriel windows on shaped brackets to hall. Boarded door beneath stack. Rear wing to left. Interior exposed framing. Ovolo-moulded ground-floor frieze window to rear wall of hall. Crown post roof. Clasped purlin roof to right end bay.
