II
House, formerly house row, now house. C17, with C19 alterations. Timber framed. Ground floor rendered, first floor tile-hung. Plain tile roof. Built at right-angles to road. Probably lobby entry plan. Main range of 3 timber-framed bays including narrow left end stack bay, and 2-bay cross- wing to left of stack bay, projecting slightly to rear. 2 storeys, on rendered plinth. Formerly with continuous jetty, returning along left gable end and now underbuilt. Hipped roof, left hip returning. Multiple brick ridge stack to left of centre and slender projecting stack to right gable end, within lean-to. Irregular fenestration of six C20 metal casements. Lean-to to right gable end. Rear lean-to to wing and lower rear lean-to to main range. Panelled door to left gable end, up 6 steps. Further doors to rear lean-tos. Interior: exposed framing. Tight C17 newel staircase to rear of stack. C17 internal partitions between bays to first floor of wing, and to ground and first floor of main range between right and central bays.
