6/101 Grove House 9.6.59 GV II
House, formerly 2 cottages, now house. Late C18 or early C19 facade to earlier building. House in 2 sections with a short rear wing to right. Timber framed, clad in painted brick. Right end elevation clad in red and grey brick in Flemish bond. Left gable end and first floor of rear wing tile-hung. Plain tile roof. Left section of 2 storeys and garret, right section 2 storeys, all on C20 brick plinth. Eaves of left section higher than right. Roof of narrow left section half-hipped to left and hipped to right; right section hipped to right with lower ridge, hip returning along wing with still lower ridge. Multiple corbelled brick ridge stack to rear wing. Irregular fenestration of one 3-light casement to each section. C20 ribbed door with square light under C20 flat bracketted hood to right end of left section. Interior not inspected.
