Aviary. Circa late C19. Timber-framed with polychrome red and black diamond tile-hung panels and brick plinth. Clay tile gabled roof with bands of scalloped tiles and crested ridge tiles. PLAN: Approximately square on plan with cage at front and roosting and nesting boxes at rear. EXTERIOR: Single storey. 2-bay gabled front with open timber-framing on small brick piers. The sides are gabled to rear with tile-hung and glazed panels. On the east side the square-framing of the front cage is missing. INTERIOR: At the back there are roosting and nesting boxes. A rare surviving example of a Victorian country house aviary.
