GV II
Stable block. Brick and stone. 4 ranges round a courtyard. Mid C18 with C19 and C20 additions and alterations. South range. Mid C18 with later alterations. Iron-stone plinth. C20 concrete tile roof with brick coped gables and C19 square lead covered clock cupola, with pyramidal plain tile roof. South front 1½ storeys, 14 irregular bays central blocked carriage entrance with inserted plank door. To left and right altered some door and window openings, some with C19, 2-light casements. All openings have guaged brick segmental arches. Above, to left, 5 C20, flat roofed dormers, each with a 2-light casement. To right, a C19 gabled hayloft entrance with plank door. Courtyard elevation of south range has an attached C19 glazed canopy on iron columns and to left a C19, 2 storey, 2 bay cottage, with C20 alterations. West range to courtyard, has a C19, 2 storey, 4 bay cottage to left with hipped, slate roof, and adjoining to right a single storey ancillary block with 4 sliding sashes, and 2 plank doors, all with cambered arches C19 north range to courtyard has hipped swithland slate roof. 2 storeys 10 bays of alternating doorways with plank doors with overlights, and sashes, mostly with glazing bars and all with cambered arches. Above, 5 windows and 2 left doors.
