PEATLING MAGNA FOSTON LANE (East Side) SP69 SW 5/48 Great Peatling Lodge

GV II

Farmhouse. Early C19. Brick with Welsh slate roof (partly renewed with concrete tiles). 2 storeys, L-plan, front (western) elevation of 7 bays, 2 to the right with doorway and 16-light window were perhaps a separate unit. The principal door is central to the other 5 bays; a 6-panelled door with overlight and blind window space above. 16-light windows replace the original sashes, but retain the appearance of them, and have flat arched brick heads. 2 axial stacks with cylindrical shafts. North elevation has 2 bay pavillion to left with hipped roof formerly capped by wood cupola, and 12-light windows. To the right lower range of 3 bays with central door and 16-light windows all with gauged flat arched brick heads.
