Details
BURTON OVERY BACK LANE (West Side) SP69 NE 3/2 The Manor Farmhouse GV II House. Dated 1650 with C18 additions. Timber framed 1st floor faced with red brick, and coursed rubble stone ground floor. Welsh slate roof with left centre moulded stone ridge stack. 2 1/2 storeys of 2 centre-opening 3-light casements over wooden doorcase with door and flat bracketted canopy (2 iron supports), 3-light wooden mullion and transom window and 5-light canted bay. Canted 4-light bay, 3-light casement and attic 1-light on left end and l 1/2 storey wing to rear. Inside are beams with stopped chamfers, C18 oak staircase with turned balusters, wide floor boards, 4-centred arched fireplace, and moulded beam inscribed 'R.F.A. 1650 W.M.' for Robert and Anne Freeman. V.C.H., Vol. V.
