II
Public house. Early C18, early C19, altered C20. Coursed limestone rubble and colourwashed red brick, hipped pantiled roofs with single ridge and wall stacks. L-plan. 2 storey irregular 5 bay front, the right hand 4 bays are an early C19 addition. Off centre basket archway with brick imposts. To left is a single canted bay window with glazing bar sashes and a hipped plain tiled roof. To right is a wide 3 light glazing bar window with cambered brick head. To first floor are 4 glazing bar sashes and to the left is a single smaller 2 light glazing bar casement to the eaves. Above the archway a carved stone is inscribed 'The Three Kings Inn' with painted busts of 3 kings together with the date AD 869; the date of the Battle of Threekingham whence the village traditionally derived its name.
