SK 97 62 HARMSTON CHURCH LANE 4/27 Stable Block to Harmston Hall Hospital GV II
Stable block originally, now used as hospital wards. Late C19. Free Style. Quadrangular plan bold archway entrances in north and south ranges. Ashlar with almost continuous dramatic wooden cornice below slate ridge roof. Very irregular facades with a great variety of windows, mostly wooden casements, balconies and bay windows. In centre of west range, is a pigeoncote with leaded canopy roof. At south-east corner a water tower with rusticated rounded corners. Some C20 alterations and additions.
