TF 0645 3/10 Galley Hill Farmhouse II

2 . Farmhouse and attached kitchen. Late C17 with early c19 alterations and additions. Coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings. Pantile roofs, with raised gables with blue brick coping and kneelers. U plan single storey plus attics. A single ridge stack. Central doorway, with plank door under wooden lintel, flanked by single 2 light windows under segmental brick heads. Above 2, 3 light C20 dormers. The projecting gabled wing to the left has a single blocked upper window, the right projecting wing has a square bay window with casements and a 2 light casement above. East front has a single 2 light casement and a C20 dormer above. To the right a wooden lean-to joins the house to the brick kitchen block. This block has a single gable stack and a 3 light casement, under a wooden lintel. Interior contains chamfered spine beams. The roof structure is late C19.
