Details
DENTON HARSTON ROAD SK 8632-8732 (south side) 10/58 Farmhouse south of Denton Manor House in Denton Park 21.9.79 G.V. II Former farmhouse, now 2 cottages. C17, altered C19. Coursed ironstone rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings, Collyweston diminishing coursed slate roof with raised stone coped gables with finials. Single gable and 2 ridge stacks. Lobby entry. L- plan. 2 storey with attics, irregular 4 bay front, having off- centre planked door in moulded ashlar 4 centred arched surround with to left a 4 light window and to right a 5 light window, a blocked doorway with 4 centred arched surround, now containing a 2 light plain casement. To first floor 2 four light windows, single 2 light and 3 light windows. In the 2 front gables are single 2 and 3 light windows. All windows have ovolo moulded mullions, those to left having central king mullions, and cornices. To right hand end a central half glazed door with to left 2 two light windows and to right a 4 light window. To first floor are 3 further 2 light windows. All with mullions and cornices. Interior retains chamfered bressumer to fireplace.
