4/2 Sudbrook House
G.V. II
Farm House; mid C19, ashlar with slate roof having kneelers and stone coped gables
with one gable, one cross ridge and two wall stacks, all with tall moulded tunnels.
2 storeys with garrets, 4 bay front with left hand pair advanced and separately
gabled with a first floor string course. Slightly off centre 4 panelled half
glazed recessed door with 4 centred arch, having hood mould and human head label
stops. To left a tall 3 light rectangular bay window with mullioned and transomed
plain sash windows and castellated top. To right are 2 two-light mullioned and
transomed casements. Over door is two-light mullioned casement with hood mould
and label stops, to left a similar 3-light window, and in the gable above it is
a narrow chamfered garret light. To right a pair of mullioned 2 light windows
separated by a corbelled out external stack. South front has a 2 storey canted
3 light mullioned bay window in the Tudor taste and a full height external stack.
