3/181 Hawthorpe Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C17, altered and extended late C19. Coursed and squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, pantile roofs with raised stone coped gables to C17 block, 2 moulded stone gable stacks and 2 red brick stacks with moulded tops. T-plan, the cross wing being the original house. 2 storey with garret, 4 bay front having off-centre half glazed door with C19 4 centred arched moulded stone surround with to left 2 two light windows and to right a 3 light window with timber mullions. To first floor are 3 two light windows with to right a similar taller window. In the gable a further 2 light window. All windows are plain casements and have deep plain ashlar lintels with incised keyblocks. To left a single storey single bay C19 service block. On one ashlar chimney stack the inscription "WAM 1700".
